Cocoa Beach: Rainy Last Day

Rain moved in in early morning.

This was our last full day at the condo- tomorrow checkout is at 10 AM. The weather forcast was rain showers today, and it started soon after we woke up.

The overcast day was an interesting change. The beach was cleared of people, the pelicans glided low over the sea, fishing for breakfast, and the plants on the dunes seemed happy for the watering.

The wind shifted with the weather too. Offshore for the other days, it now blew from the west. This change seemed to subdue the waves, which were already pretty moderate.

The condo crew read books and napped the day away. The rain stopped in the afternoon, though clouds persisted. Jay and Chris grabbed chairs for a beach visit. I stayed in to finish the blog, and shot some pictures of them from the balcony with my telephoto lens.
