Winding Up

We have no special plans for the last two days of my visit. We stopped by Chris' office today to see her coworkers and the office dog, Gini. I got a chance to meet and visit with some of the workers, but Gini was having a sick day. We hope she'll be in tomorrow.

We had a hot day today in Eislingen. Air-conditioning is almost unknown in Germany. Only grocery stores are reliably cooled. Christina's office was hot. Fans provided some relief. I suggested we stop into a bar for a drink, but, no, bars are not air-conditioned either. Hot weather is rare here.

I read the Sentinel and watch news streamed to the internet. The hurricane Harry story is amazing. So much rain is inconceiveable.
